In “Create a video”, the “Long video” tab tells a story of 3 to 10 minutes, cut into one minute chapters and edited into a single file.
This tool is open to certain plans only. If the tab is locked, the app tells you from which plan it is included.

What the app does with it

  • Offered lengths: 3, 5, 8 or 10 minutes. One minute makes a chapter: 10 minutes, 10 chapters.
  • A single video: the chapters are assembled into one file, with a single cover.
  • Voice over alone, continuous narration: the voice tells the story in one go while the images roll, like a TikTok voice over.
  • Animated images: slow zoom on each image, no filmed shots. This is what keeps the format affordable.
  • Music on by default, subtitles off by default.
  • Written in chapters: the opening sets up the world, the hero and the stakes, and ends on a question that makes you want the rest.

The form that works

A 10 minute subject needs material: a timeline, steps, revelations, not a single fact. Say how you want it told (documentary, investigation, narrative).
You can also paste your script (“Paste your script” button). Each sentence becomes a line of the voice over, said word for word.

Before / after

No thread: the AI doesn’t know where to go, the chapters repeat.

Common mistakes

  • A subject that is too thin: a one fact idea doesn’t make 10 chapters. Choose a story with steps.
  • A subject that is too vast: “the history of Rome” scatters. Pick a precise episode.
  • Launching 10 minutes to test: start with 3 minutes, review, then lengthen.
  • Wanting filmed shots: this format is made of slow zoom animated images.
  • Adding text to draw: all on-screen text goes through overlays.

Settings that go with it

  • Long video length: 3, 5, 8 or 10 minutes.
  • Voice: a single voice, held across all the minutes. Choose it carefully, it carries everything.
  • Voice-over tone: Storyteller, Suspense or Documentary suit long formats well.
  • Style: a single style for the whole video. “Refine the style (optional)” describes colors, light and materials.
  • Music: Auto, Described or My music. It stays under the voice.
  • Subtitles: turn them on if you want readability without sound.
  • Cost: a long video uses more credits. Review the estimate before launching.

Before launching

Test short: a 3 minute video already shows you the voice, the style and the pacing of the chapters for a fraction of the cost. If you like the opening, go to 8 or 10 minutes. See the rules of a good prompt.
